Note: - Warner's fifth feature length release reunites (for the first time since 1973) the team's original voices (Casey Kasem, Heather North, Nicole Jaffe and Frank Welker) and is the first to feature Heather North (the second voice of Daphne Blake) since 1997. The only one missing from the original voice cast is Don Messick, who died in October 1997.
- After fans objected to the modern clothes in the previous Scooby-Doo movies, the traditional costumes are back, as is the original "Mystery Machine".
- This feature is based on the popular and long-running animated series produced for Saturday morning television by Hanna-Barbera Productions from 1969 to 1986, 1988 to 1991, and from 2002 to the present day, and, as of October 2004, holds the Guinness World Record for having the most episodes of any cartoon series ever produced.
- A live-action feature film version of Scooby-Doo was released by Warner Bros. in 2002, featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series.
- The film's culprit, the Yowie Yahoo, is said to be a "Hairy Man/Ape" roaming the Australian outback, based on stories the native Aborigines are telling.
- Reggae singer Shaggy took his name from the character of "Norville Shaggy Rogers".
